A Friendly Guide To Potty Your Dog!

It is tough to potty train a dog if you are not constant about it.

Small dogs are simply trained and it requires only a small amount of constant effort to house train them. These are a couple pointers that can help you if this is your situation.

If small dogs don’t eat anything, they don’t use the bathroom. I’m not implying not to feed your dog.

The opposite of this is that if you don’t let them take in food, they don’t excrete anything.

Get a planned time to feed your little dog. Puppies need to be fed two times a day. Thirty minutes later, go outside with them for a walk.

A feeding time is imperative. Doing this allows the dog to get on a schedule and he will be ready to poop when you take him out.

While you are house training your dog, you need to be sure that he isn’t peeing in the house. You could just not give him any water.

Maybe you shouldn’t give him water. Just joking! That would not be nice.

You can take him out every 5 hours after a while. After a while they can mold to your work plans and not pee inside while you are away for a while.

Even though you have some pointers, we know that he may still accidentally pee inside while you are training him.

With little dogs, you can only punish them if you see them in the act.

If you are not home all day and come back to urine by the back door, you shouldn’t get them in trouble or put their nose in it.

If you are at work all day and come home to pee by the back door, don’t discipline them our get their nose in it.

You can’t be certain of when it happened and the puppy may not remember if it was hours ago.

When this happens, clean up the urine and keep taking them out when they are used to being taken out.
